Recently, a video showing 12 unidentified flying objects (UFOs) soaring over the South China Sea near Hong Kong and subsequently dissipating into the clouds that was shot from a height of more than 39,000 feet surfaced on social media.
According to American Military News on December 9, the 53-second video above was captured on November 24 by a US military pilot and sent to the UFO tracking website UFO Stalker on December 4.
Three groups of four enigmatic light formations can be seen flying above the clouds in the video.
One of the pilots on the video states, “I don’t know what this is.”
The luminous dots in the clouds then gradually vanished after that. More than 40,000 people have seen the video, and several UFO enthusiasts quickly theorized about the blobs.
While UFO tracking website Ufoofinterest.org stated that the footage looked to show it was likely “military flares,” UFO investigator Chris Spitzer stated that the UFOs appeared to be flares.
The US Department of Defense authorized the formation of the Airborne Object Identification and Management Synchronization Group, a task force to find UFOs, one day prior to the finding of the aforementioned UFOs (AOIMSG).
